The research interest of N. Bgatova is related to the mechanisms of tumor growth, induction tumor cells apoptosis and autophagic death by different form of lithium salts, including of lithium nano-sized particles, tumor angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis. An important goal is to explore the possible clinical utility of molecular markers of angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis for early diagnosis of melanoma cells metastasis

Prof. N.Bgatova is author of more than 190 articles in peer-review journals; supervised 19 doctoral dissertations; member of the Academic Council NIIKEL, the Scientific Council of the Inter-regional scientific advisory center endoecological rehabilitation, Siberian lymphologists Society, the Society of Anatomy, Histology and Embryology of the Dissertation Council D 003.074.01 at the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology, Russian Academy of Sciences.
